Dear Dad, we're setting off!

Dear Dad,

I'm sorry that I left without saying goodbye.  Remember dig deeper?  I am digging deeper.

Well, Namalia recently came across what he calls a mimir.  It is a supernatural toy that floats and follows him around.  Well, it also records messages and plays them for us if we can guess the right thing to ask.

The mimir told us that if we carry it all over, it will charge up.  Once charged, it can do whatever we ask it to do.  After we charged it at a few places around the neighborhood, I asked it to make me strong like Mom.  The mimir didn't do anything.  I think this is a waste of time, but my friends say we just need to charge it some more.

I hope you don't mind that I took the big bone with me.  There's always another one, right?  Just to be safe, will you not tell mom?

Well, we are now travelling farther away from home, and I never got a chance to come home and say goodbye.  I hope work isn't too difficult for you because I'm gone... Mom is still there, I suppose.

We've been on the road for over a week now, and have come across other travellers twice.  These people we've met have been awful.  They demand money from us, or else they'll fight us.  The people out here must be really desperate for money; they attack us even though they are outnumbered and have no chance of beating us.  Is there anything we could do to help them?  If I remember, I will ask the mimir what it thinks.  I bet it has nothing to say - little good it's done any of us so far!

Would you please not tell mom?  About any of this, I mean.

Love,
Buddyo
